Entry #6 - Missing?

Welcome back!

Let's explore the unexplained. Have you heard of these books called Missing 411? There are several different ones, but they all share the same unexplained mysteries. These books have many stories of how people have gone missing, and the cases are just left unexplained. Some are found but, unfortunately, in a different condition than they were last seen. Children go missing and are located a few days later, with no recollection as to what has happened in that time. Most of these take place in National Parks and forests, some of which many families go to spend time with their family.

David Paulides is a retired detective and author of the books who responded to some of these missing persons cases. He found that most of these cases have many similarities. In all cases, no scent was left for a dog to pick up and track. It's almost like they disappeared into thin air. In some cases where they did find the missing person, they would appear hundreds of miles from where they initially started. In other cases, they were never found, no clothes, blood, or body.

Some believe that there is a strange coincidence that the missing person map looks a lot like the cave systems map. Assuming that the caves may be the home of something that may have to do with these missing people cases. Others believe that extraterrestrials are the ones who have abducted these missing people. Others say it could also be big foot hunting these people in national and state parks. With nearly zero evidence, it is hard to pinpoint what it can or can't be—making these cases hard to solve or link.

Imagine walking over a hill and then vanishing. Nothing is ever found, no trace, and in just a short time. This happened to Polly Melton, who was walking with her two friends. She was only about 20 feet ahead of them, and once she got over a small hill, her friends came shortly after, only to find Polly vanished. To this day, nothing was found to lead to her whereabouts.

What are your thoughts? These cases can be found in David Paulides' books if you want to read more about these mysteries. I hope you enjoyed this topic as much as I did. Until next time, Bye!

  1. I found your blog post extremely fascinating. I have never heard of these books before, but after reading your post I am intrigued to take the time to read them. I think there must be some connection with the cave systems after looking at the map you posted. I can't wait to learn more and do some research of my own on this topic.
